Hi, I'm Jaron Tafoya for Parables TV and this is Monsters University. Right here on Hollywood and Highland, this is the Blue Carpet Premiere; we've got fans, large and small. The kids are out today, the moms and the dads; this is going to be huge for Disney's Monsters University.
Wayne Brady/Actor: This movie, uh, the first one, was a family favorite, and now it's cool that they made another one.
Jaron Tafoya: Do you have a favorite character from Monsters University?
Max Charles/Actor: You know, I don't. I kind of like them all.
Laura Marano/Actress: I am the biggest fan of Monsters Inc., like it is, awesome. And I just was talking an found out that it came out ten years ago? Like, what is happening? I'm freaking out!
Jaron Tafoya: Time flies when you're a monster, right?
Laura Marano: Well, that's my motto!
Jaron Tafoya: So what brings you out here Rico?
Rico Rodriguez/Actor: I'm here to see Monsters University! I'm so excited; Monsters Inc. is like my favorite Pixar movie, so to be able to see the prequel to it, I'm like so excited.
Jared/Subway: Of course, Subway is really helping to spread the news about Monsters University, and so part of that is that they get to send me down this Blue Carpet; my first Blue Capet I've ever actually walked on so,
Jaron Tafoya: What an honor!
Jared/Subway: I've done some Red Carpets and White Carpets and Black Carpets but never a Blue Carpet, so it's pretty cool and uh, what a great movie, a very inspirational movie, I know everybody at Subway is happy to be involved and I think when people see this movie, they're gong to be like, "I can do like Mike, you know, I'm not gonna be told I can't do something." I think that's why this movie is so fantastic.
Jaron Tafoya: The band is heading down right now; this is the official Monsters University Band, right in front of the El Capitan Theatre, they're jazzed, they're loud, let's get ready.
Billy Crystal/Voice of "Mike": Well it was a great idea that they came up with eleven years later, um, that's how long it took for them to think of this, and uh, it was like such a great idea.
Dan Scanlon/Direcot/Producer: It's mainly about teamwork and friendship and I think that those things are universally and internationally loved.
Bobby Moynihan/Voice of "Chet": The kids who saw the original Monsters Inc. are now old enough, they're probably in college now and it's gonna be fun for them to watch.
Charlie Day/Voice of "Art": I think we all fell in love with those characters in the first movie and uh, to get to see how they got to be who they are is uh, a really fun way to do this movie.
Billy Crystal: He's the greatest character I've ever played, I just love him. I love his tenacity, I love his ambition, I love that he doesn't let anything get in his way; um, he's a survivor and he's really funny and unpredictable and I just love him.
