The Art of Lap Ngo

Lap Ngo fled Vietnam in 1944 to escape the Indo-China war. He supported his family of 7 by painting portraits on the street. He worked hard and save enough money to buy one way ticket to Paris, France. There he was accepted by the top school of art where he met the love of his life a young American Diplomat. They married in the US, but soon got transferred to Africa where they lived for 24 years. Today Lap lives in Allen TX. But despite this incredible journey Lap has a unique perspective in life. He believes that in every situation there are two sides of a coin. The bad and the good, or in his view, the ugly and the beautiful. But it is our choice to focus on one of them. Which side do you focus on?
